Colony is a great place to go whether you're looking for a tasty caffeinated beverage, an excellent local brew, or a tasty tasty cocktail. You can start your day there with a coffee then head back in toward the end for a nightcap and be certain that you'll be met with quality service!

Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere. This place is wonderful. The staff is friendly, there's lots of places to sit and get work done or just hang out.

Tried this place out today!!! The workers there are so sweet and they seemed to know every customer that came in. Definitely a local fave type place! The sandwiches were tasty and the coffee drinks were awesome too! Definitely will be coming back in again!

Love this local hang.... it has everything...Excellent tap and cocktail menu options. Great vibe for chilling/studying with coffee or kombucha in-cup. Friendly and responsive customer service. Good lighting. Comfortable seating. Yes. Everything.

Love, love, love this place. Owners are nice and friendly. Rodney Beagle is going to open a brewery there, and his beers are fantastic! A little pricey but have 12 craft beers on tap all the time.

This place is really cozy and friendly. It's New and still getting reaction, but it seems popular and growing in popularity. They keep messenger coffee as their house roaster. It's a Kansas City local and sends like they roast good coffee. Great for groups and business meet-ups.

I had the most wonderful experience at the colony KC! First off the wonderful barista let us correct our order when WE were the ones who told her what we wanted wrong. She also directed us to where we can order food. The bartender asked if I would like anything when I was just looking at the bar drinks. The kitchen staff made AMAZING food and was concerned about our ranch falling over and corrected the positioning so it wouldn’t go all over the fries when it’s just some ranch! If I could give this place more stars I would 10/10 will come back and will tell friends!

It's a really great hangout. Excellent cocktails and coffee are matched with hearty and excellent bar food. They have a good beer selection. They have comfy seating. They show cartoons behind the bar. And the music venue is carefully curated and has GREAT sound management. It's a long rectangular room with hard floors and almost no echo during a show because they've invested like heck in panels and at least the night we were there had someone who really knew what he was doing on the sound board. Three varied artists and all three sounded great.

Fantastic place to hang out! Great beer selection and amazing coffee!! The weekly free little concerts are quite amazing as well!! One of our new favorite pllaces in KC!!

Friendly staff and fun atmosphere! I love that you can get coffee with dairy free options. There is a good selection of beers on tap accompanied by an array of bottles and cocktails at the bar.

Walked here with my husband and parents for a bit of afternoon coffee shortly after they came to visit. Drinks were great and the staff helpful. Will definitely visit again.

I really wanted to like this place because I love supporting local and want NKC to continue to grow. However, I’ve been a handful of times and the prices are high for the tiniest drinks. Great coffee though. This last Saturday around 2pm I went in and waited at the coffee counter for a long time! I actually thought the coffee shop portion was closed because a bartender was over at the bar serving/chatting with people and definitely saw us. Dude, you have to at least greet the customers you can’t get to. This place needs to make older people (I’m only 30 but still) feel more welcome by not just talking to the younger crowd at the bar. I felt like I was bothering him by ordering coffee.

Love this place! Food is amazing. Drinks are made by expert hands and quickly. The bartenders are attentive to their guests. Definitely my favorite spot in North Town.

Great stop for a drink. Like...ANY drink. Wonderful beers on tap, a coffee bar, liquors. I’ll bet they even have water if you wanted it. Super casual and inviting. I’ll be back for sure!

5 stars, not necessarily because the coffee was good (it was), or because the atmosphere was nice and chill (it is), but because I just love places like this. If you check out my photos of this place you'll see a snapshot (😆) of everything I like about it. Great job, Colony.

I personally come here for the beer as I'm not a coffee drinker. The atmosphere is casual and servers are always friendly. They have their own brewery now so there is always new and interesting beers from them to try as well as several guest taps that they keep rotating in with solid choices. If cocktails are your thing, they've got a full bar and make excellent old fashions! They've recently added on a kitchen where you can order food. If you're in North Kansas City, be sure to stop in and check out this unique place!

Great drink selection. Although, I don’t go here as much anymore because the music selection is usually punk rock or screamo and I am not a fan.

Cool coffee shop and brewery/bar in North KC. Interesting vibe and it’s located next to The Rino where live music is sometimes played. The beer is very tasty, and they have games and a ping pong table for entertainment. I did not try the coffee. Prices seem standard for a small brewery. Service was slow but they were friendly. Street parking available.

I’ve been here for both coffee and cocktails, and both are, if you’ll pardon the expression, “top shelf.”Very chill atmosphere, and excellent quality beverages. Highly recommend.

There's a decadent little grill in the back called the Beerded Man Grill. Really good, calorie dense man food. The BBQ fries are amazing.

Great bar with a very NKC kind of vibe. It's attached to the Rino music venue and has a great space for hanging out and grabbing a drink or coffee. It's a great mix of part coffee shop, part bar and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. They ceased the brewery operations earlier this year which is a bummer but understandable. I'm glad we came across this spot. Such a great hangout bar.

Kind of silly that it's a Denver reference in Kansas City. But still an good spot for interesting people to be.

Nice and chill atmosphere. Love the smell of coffee when you open the door! This is a great little spot if you want a pick-me-up. Ordered the cappaccino - it was a little sour for my liking, though, but will try something else next time!

Good place to go for coffee and drinks. They have different deals on both depending on the day, so worth asking about or checking via social media.

Really great cocktails. Space is pretty basic, but you can play a game, listen to music, and have a great drink, so who cares how cute it is?

Beer was good, bartender lady was awesome

Gotta get some of the beered mans food. Eat there at least once a week and always good. Might order ahead if you don't get a long lunch break though.
